Rawa is the first live streaming platform for Arabic speaking gamers, and gaming content consumers. The aim is to give Arabic gaming content creators, with all their dialects and diverse cultures, the space they need to express their identity.
Logo
Rawa, which means “tell a story” in Arabic is all about the streamers. That is why we created the character Rawi, the “story teller” in Arabic, which can carry many personas, expressions and feelings.
Color
We wanted to give Rawa a youthful, energetic, and more importantly approachable and inclusive identity. Orange as a primary color hit the target.

There is one official Arabic language that everyone understands but no one speaks, on the other hand there are numerous spoken dialects from Morocco to Iraq. Rawa celebrates this diversity, and helps create bridges between these dialects and diverse cultures.
Visual Content
It is all about the conversations that take place on the platform. We created the icons, stickers, and emoticons to be an extension of the user’s natural voice. We injected the local culture into these elements. We ended up with some pretty funny ones.
“The easiness of communication between the KOLAPS and RAWA teams was very helpful. We also appreciated their involvement in all aspects of developing our start-up.”
